Hello everyone…I want to share my views about Microsoft and how it has impacted my life. Also, I would be discussing how I have planned to bring a change to the society being a Microsoft Student Associate.

Right from my childhood, Microsoft has had a great impact on my life. I still remember my first encounter with Microsoft. It was when I attended my first computer lab in standard 1st. Things were quite vague then. There appears a screen before us with “Microsoft Windows 98” written on it along with a logo.  All I know was that when a computer starts, one needs to click on “something” known as “Start” and then “Paint”. I still remember how I used to love “Paint”. This feature- Paint is also a gift from Microsoft. Enough of flashback! Now, let’s come to the present.

First of all, let me show you what actually Microsoft is!

Microsoft Corporation is engaged in developing, licensing and supporting a range of software products and services. It was founded in the year 1975.The Company operates in five segments: Windows & Windows Live Division (Windows Division), Server and Tools, Online Services Division (OSD), Microsoft Business Division (MBD), and Entertainment and Devices Division (EDD). The Company's products include operating systems for personal computers (PCs), servers, phones, and other intelligent devices; server applications for distributed computing environments; productivity applications; business solution applications; desktop and server management tools; software development tools; video games, and online advertising. In September 2013, Ericsson completed the acquisition of Microsoft's Mediaroom business and TV solution.

Today, almost everyone believes that technology has made life easier and I think Microsoft is the first thing that comes in our mind when we think of technology, Microsoft Virtual Academy, Microsoft DreamSpark has been proving very lucrative and conducive for students and professionals right from Microsoft's products like Windows, MS office, MS Studios, MSN, Bing, Onedrive, Outlook.com, Windows phone, Skype, Visual Studio, Windows phone and the latest release: Microsoft Surface Pro 3.

How I have planned to bring a change to the society being a Microsoft Student Associate

First of all, a big thanks to Microsoft for giving me such a great opportunity. It is a felicity for me to get associated with Microsoft through this program.
Now, who are Microsoft Student Associates? Well, Microsoft Student Associates are technology enthusiasts, student influencers who use technology for social impact.
After becoming an MSA, I would like to be a part of the team and make the people in my contact-my friends, classmates, faculty members etc. –aware of the beauty of Microsoft and its products by organizing events: cultural, technical, workshops, conferences, seminars, presentations, etc.

Latest technologies, though easily operative, can sometimes pose difficulties in their operation to people who are a bit amateur in the field of technology. To this, I will serve by helping in issues faced by them, which will surely make their Microsoft-life easy.

These days, from your good wonderful mornings to tired sleepless nights, everything is shared on social networking sites. Microsoft needs no advertisement kind of thing but I’ll love to fuel the popularity of Microsoft by sharing on my posts the initiatives, the projects and the goals of Microsoft. Since I’m a social media enthusiast, I think I can carry out the task easily.
